In the end of
April and beginning of May I made a short hike with 3 other people in
Western-Ireland, the well-known Kerry Way. We had 6 walking days, which
is too few to complete the hike unless you like very long stages.
We started in Killarney and walked anti-clockwise to Sneem. The first
days were pretty wet, but this was a good match to the bare, brown
hills and the forests full of ferns, moss and litchens. In the second
half of the hike the sky opened up and we had splendid views over the
bays and the Atlantic Ocean.
To keep my pack light, I brought a P&S camera instead of a reflex. A small impression of the hike can be found here.
